2014
A minister of tourism asked Danish tourism marketing expert Henrik Koch "What is my country's image among Nordic travellers?". This question launches Henrik into six years of meticulous research, trial and error to develop the innovative data capture methodology and complex analytics algorithms needed for the job. Thus Travellyze was born!

The first version of Travellyze is released

Travellyze was acquired by Interface Tourism, part of Europe's leading travel and tourism only marketing group ITG, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich and London.

The platform is relaunched with an improved user experience, making it possible for everyone to use it, not only data scientists.

January 2022
The second wave of surveys is implemented. This allows Travellyze's data to have biannual updates.

We launch the Report Marketplace and allow direct access to our platform: easy, quick and without intermediaries.

The survey
Our surveys are conducted in collaboration with recognized analysis bureaus in each market.
Representative cross section
The surveys are based on a representative cross section of people from the largest provider of panellists in the various markets. The gathered data has been weighted according to gender, age and geography, making the respondents representative of the market being investigated.
Selection of respondents
First, the panellists' demographics are registered. Then a simple and random selection of the market's inhabitants is drawn based on the demographics. These panellists then receive an online questionnaire that they answer via PC or tablet.
The respondents
The surveys encompass responses from a certain number of people over the age of 18, distributed reasonably across the markets' regions. The large size of our surveys ensures a high degree of statistical certainty but also ample opportunity for breaking down the background data.
Importing the survey data to the platform
After the survey has been conducted, a series of tests and checks are done to ensure that the data imported in the platform is accurate and corresponds to the survey results.

The Travellyze database includes three kinds of data – which all includes a lot of different variables. All of our data can be combined and crossed, which gives almost endless possibilities to customise reports and find exactly the insights you need.
